Thibault Lamy is a composer and sound designer for live performances (theater, dance) and sound engineer for film.
Trained on drums as a child, it was only later that he discovered the world of synths, field-recording and some of Björk's strings arrangements. This marked a major shift, from rock to extreme music, then to a more minimalist style of music more focused on images and the imaginary.
Fascinated by experimentation and more nerdy techniques, he attaches particular importance to sound immersion and spatialized sound, from recording to public performance (binaural, ambisonic). This more technical aspect of his work is also expressed in his work as a film sound engineer.
In 2012, he joined the Collectif MxM (dir. Cyril Teste) and La Raffinerie (dir. Marion Pellissier).
Thibault has composed and performed with Hypno5e, A backward glance on a travel road, joseph kildine.
_transmitting
As a result of my many interventions in drama schools, high schools and continuing education centers, transmitting is an important part of my work. It is nourished and shaped by the encounters and diverse collaborations that these moments offer.
For me, it's a passion and a necessity to exchange, share and experiment in a group, whether it's a workshop for a young audience or for professional creators.
